Socialware Welcomes Former Morgan Stanley Smith Barney Vice Chairman, Craig Pfeiffer, as Senior Advisor and Expands Executive Leadership

Pfeiffer Brings Significant Financial Services Experience to Socialware's Advisory Team and Chief Financial Officer and VP of Business Development Join Socialware's Executive Line-Up

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - Oct 4, 2011) - Socialware, the leader in social business for financial services, today announced new senior advisor, Craig Pfeiffer, financial services veteran and recently retired Vice Chairman at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.

Pfeiffer retired in September 2011 with more than 29 years of leadership experience within Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and predecessor firms. His responsibilities included heading Marketing, National Business Development and many strategic businesses centered around wealth management, financial planning and retirement services. With a long history focused on client experience and client communications, he will help Socialware continue to assist Financial Advisors and their firms to deepen relationships and grow their business. Pfeiffer has spoken at several industry events and worked with regulators on the topic of social media use for client engagement. He successfully spearheaded Morgan Stanley Smith Barney's social media program, marking the first wirehouse to embrace social communication between advisors and clients.

"Social networking sites are quickly becoming one of the most important relationship management tools available for financial advisors, but many firms are still hesitant to adopt social networking initiatives due to a lack of strategic guidance and embracing the commercial opportunity," said Pfeiffer. "I observed Socialware's depth of knowledge in the industry and technology leadership during MSSB's evaluation of the Company and I am eager to work with them to transform the way financial services professionals build and manage relationships."

Pfeiffer joins Socialware's current advisory team, which consists of Jeff Dachis, Founder and CEO of Dachis Group; Paul Rogers, Site Director at Google; Brian Mennell, entrepreneur and investor and Kenny Van Zant, Marketing and Corporate Strategy at Asana.

"We pride ourselves on being a thought leader in this space and the addition of Craig will extend and accelerate that leadership," said Chad Bockius, CEO of Socialware. "His guidance and experiences will ensure we continue to provide meaningful vertical solutions that turn social networking into social business."

Socialware also recently welcomed new Chief Financial Officer, Criss Harms, and Melanie Kalemba, Vice President of Business Development. Harms brings more than 20 years of financial management experience in high technology companies such as IBM, PSS Systems and Transitive Corporation, to the team and Kalemba held leadership roles in partnership development, marketing and operations at companies such as Dell, NetSolve and Movero Technology.
