Software AG Captures 'Best Enterprise Solution' Award at IT ChannelVision Fall 2005 Event

RESTON, Va.--(CCNMatthews - Nov 9, 2005) -

Software AG, Inc., today announced that the company captured the "Best Enterprise Solution" award at the IT ChannelVision™ Fall 2005 event, held October 9 - 12 in San Diego, CA. The "Best of IT ChannelVision™" awards are sponsored by Gartner Vision Events, and are the only industry awards voted on solely by North America's premier System Builders, Value-Added Resellers (VARs), Enterprise Solution Providers and Digital Home Reseller attendees.

Software AG displayed its Process-Driven Integration solution at the event, which enables organizations to integrate people, processes and data, thereby aligning IT with business goals and improving business agility.

"Since the recipients of the 'Best of IT ChannelVision™' awards are determined by market leader attendees in the North American IT channel, this award has become an important indicator of brand credibility and market leadership," said Eric Lesonsky, Global Senior Director, IT ChannelVision.

"We are delighted that some of the top systems integrators in the US have recognized the value that a technology-enabled business improvement concept, such as Process-Driven Integration, can bring to organizations that want to derive the most benefit from their investment in Service Oriented Architecture," said Dan Roe, Senior Director of Business Development for Software AG North America. "With more than 30 years experience in mission-critical data management, and leadership in developing XML-based solutions to solve business problems, Software AG is in a unique position to help companies bring their systems and information in line with key business processes."

About Process-Driven Integration

Software AG's Process-Driven Integration approach uses standards and models as the basis for integration rather than hard-coding business processes, information/semantic associations and service orientation relationships. By modeling business processes and information views independently from the underlying infrastructure and disparate systems, organizations can enhance agility, efficiency and productivity. A Process-Driven Integration approach empowers business users to own and maintain process models regardless of the intricacies of back-office integration, while IT resources make the system and data sources available through services in the context of a Service Oriented Architecture.
