PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwire - September 12, 2007) - The Radicati Group, Inc.'s latest study,
"Corporate IT Survey - Messaging and Collaboration, 2007-2008," finds that
Security, Reducing downtime and Compliance are the top priorities for
businesses in 2007.
Security has always been a leading concern for businesses. Despite the
broad range of anti-spam products available today, 42% of businesses
surveyed reported an increase in Spam traffic between 2006 and 2007.
Reducing downtime was another strong priority, indicating that products
still have a way to go to meet mission-critical business requirements.
Also demand for Compliance has risen dramatically since the last year, with
68% of Large businesses indicating that compliance is their top concern,
while almost 80% of Very Large businesses indicated that compliance is
their leading concern in 2007.
While most organizations still deploy insourced email solutions, the study
shows that hosted email made up one-third of messaging system deployments
surveyed, as 29% of survey respondents outsourced at least part of their
messaging system in 2007.
