SOGC Joins's Collaborative Network

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Feb. 25, 2014) - is pleased to announce that the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC) has joined the collaborative network as a contributing subject area expert group. Under the leadership of Dr. Jennifer Blake, CEO of SOGC, this partnership links the thousands frontline clinicians on's network working in obstetrics and gynaecology with the SOGC's world-class practice guidelines.

As the first step in the partnership, and SOGC will conduct a shared-resources clinical knowledge translation project that will adapt the SOGC's induction of labour practice guidelines into order sets. The SOGC is recognized for developing clinical tools that are second to none and adding their unique expertise to the network will ensure that ob/gyn content continues to support best practice at network-partners' hospitals.

In the future there is great potential for, SOGC, and other stakeholders across the health system to benefit from this partnership. is committed to bringing our work to all fields of health services, including underserved settings such as aboriginal communities in Canada and a variety of international areas, and working with SOGC to provide the best care tools for women's health issues will be crucial in that work.
