Sola Resource Corp.: April 2006 Exploration and Development Update

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - April 4, 2006) - Sola Resource Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SL) -

- New larger capacity bulk-sampling plant on-site at the Carolina kimberlite

- Indicator-mineral survey pushes ahead in Rondonia, NW Brazil

Sola Resource Corp. (the "Company"), is progressing well with the surface sampling program for kimberlite indicator-minerals on its 255,477 hectare (631,295 acre) claim blocks in the Pimenta Bueno region of Rondonia, NW Brazil. To date 138 samples have been processed and more than 15% of these have yielded pyrope garnets of the type associated with kimberlitic rocks in the Pimenta Bueno domain.

The engineering plans for a larger bulk-sampling plant site and associated tailings ponds, in the vicinity of the diamond-bearing Carolina kimberlite pipe, are now complete and construction work is well underway. The recently completed diamond-extraction plant arrived on the Carolina site one week ago. Using this new larger-capacity plant the Company will soon commence investigation of the diamond contents of several parts of the kimberlite, of local kimberlitic eluvial deposits and of the tailings from previous low-efficiency artisanal (garimpeiro) diamond-mining activities.

Management is pleased to bring news both of its continuing exploration drive and of the pending completion and start-up of the bulk-sampling facility.
