Sola Resource Corp.: Exploration, Drilling and Development Update

- Drill program on the Carolina kimberlite continues - New diamond discovery in Espigao d'Oeste area

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Aug. 15, 2007) - Sola Resource Corp. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:SL) (PINK SHEETS:SOLAF) is continuing with its delineation drill program on the diamond-bearing Carolina kimberlite near Espigao d'Oeste in the State of Rondonia in northwestern Brazil. It has successfully completed 6 diamond-drill holes to date and is currently drilling hole C-007, with kimberlite encountered in all holes drilled so far. A report detailing the drilling will be compiled and released upon completion of the drill program.

Modifications to the 400 tpd jig plant are currently being undertaken to ensure that the plant is tuned for the treatment of the types of superficial materials and altered kimberlitic lithologies detected in the near surface by the recent drilling.

Regional Kimberlite Indicator Mineral (KIM) surveys over Sola's claims continue and the Company is pleased to announce that its crew has recovered a 0.17 carat, white, octahedral diamond from a KIM anomaly located some 3.4 kilometres (approximately 2.1 miles) from the Carolina kimberlite.
