Solar EnerTech to Expand Production Capacity With Second Manufacturing Facility

MENLO PARK, CA--(Marketwire - August 15, 2007) - Solar EnerTech Corp. (OTCBB: SOEN) (the "Company") wishes to announce that due to increased market demand, Management has acted decisively to augment its manufacturing capacity by undertaking an additional facility lease contract that will lead to a rapid expansion of the Company's existing production capacity by nearly 50%.

Due to an upsurge in 2nd quarter demand for the Company's products and in reaction to this rise in sales, Management ascertained the need for an immediate division of its production efforts into two distinct areas. The plan entails the relocation of the Company's solar module production to the new facility, in order to increase the floor space and production capacity of solar cell manufacturing at the current facility.

The Company views this expansion as an intermediate step towards the development of two fully developed manufacturing divisions offering a number of synergistic, integrated services and benefits. The newly-leased facility encompasses 20,000 square feet and is located just minutes away from the solar cell plant located at Shanghai's Jin Qiao Technology Park.

"Our newly-leased space is a very nice mid-step position to help launch our next big leap forward," stated Jack Yin, the Company's COO. "It'll give us room to grow, and improve production logistics, increase overall efficiency and simply make plant management more effective."

The company plans to begin the infrastructural build at the new factory on August 14, and intends to launch production by November 15 of this year.
