Solarflare to Speak at 2014 STAC Summits: London, Chicago, New York

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 30, 2014) - Solarflare, the leader in application-intelligent 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) networking software and hardware, today announced that Matthew Knight, Technical Marketing Director of Financial Services at Solarflare, will be speaking at three upcoming STAC events in London, Chicago and New York.

On the panel, "Rethinking Network Capture," Matthew Knight, along with Glenn Wright, Systems Architect, DataDirect Networks, will discuss the need for financial firms to rely on network captures for a range of crucial data for trade analytics, compliance and risk management. Historically, capturing the data has been a fairly expensive and rigid process. Knight will look at the opportunities and challenges of data capturing with a more open-systems approach. The panel will also address how firms can leverage expertise from technology providers for capture solutions instead of reengineering the whole systems.

STAC® is a technology research firm that facilitates the STAC Benchmark Council™, a group of leading financial firms and technology vendors. The Council discusses strategic engineering challenges and specifies standard methods for assessing new technologies based on users' requirements. The resulting STAC Benchmarks™ -- together with test tools and research reports from STAC that utilize them -- significantly accelerate technology selection at user firms, such as banks, brokers, exchanges, hedge funds, and other financial organizations.
