DALLAS, TX--(Marketwired - Aug 7, 2014) - Solarflare, the leader in application-intelligent 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) networking software and hardware, announces that Scott Schweitzer, Sales Manager of OEM & Federal and Southeast at Solarflare, will be speaking at this year's Dallas Tech-Security Conference on August 7, 2014 hosted by Data Connectors.

The Dallas Tech-Security Conference is a unique event that brings together industry experts and technology providers. During the conference, experts will be discussing current technology/security issues such as email security, VoIP, LAN security, wireless security, USB drive security and more. Participants will gain valuable insights and knowledge that they can then apply to their specific network environments.

The Solarflare session is entitled "Defense in Depth: Re-enlisting the Host as the New Network Edge." In the session, Schweitzer will explain in detail how security professionals can -- at the server level -- filter, log, alert on, block, capture, and/or rate limit suspicious traffic in the kernel driver or in user space, limiting the impact attacks can have on host operating systems or application performance.
