IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 21, 2012) - Solarflare, the leading provider of application-intelligent networking I/O, today announced that Dave Parry, vice president of engineering, will speak at Hot Interconnects on OpenOnload architecture for user-level networking, which is rapidly becoming the de-facto standard for user-space protocol processing of TCP and UDP particularly in latency sensitive applications for the financial markets.

IEEE Hot Interconnects is the premier international forum for researchers and developers of state-of-the-art hardware and software architectures and implementations for interconnection networks of all scales, ranging from multi-core on-chip interconnects to those within systems, clusters, and data centers. Leaders in industry and academia attend the conference to interact with individuals at the forefront of this field. Session attendees will receive information on how user-level networking reduces networking overheads considerably without sacrificing the security and resource management functionality that the operating system normally provides.
