Solarvest Announces Relocation to New Operating Facilities

MONTAGUE, PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND--(Marketwired - Aug. 13, 2013) - SOLARVEST BIOENERGY INC. (TSX VENTURE:SVS) ("Solarvest"), announces that Solarvest's operating division Solarvest (P.E.I.) Inc. has relocated to its newly renovated facilities in Montague PEI. Solarvest obtained the 30,000 sq. ft. facility on a lease to own basis and has completed improvements for the laboratory and production facility.

Solarvest's primary focus is Omega 3 fatty acids and the goal of research and operations at the new facility is to increase the yields and maximize the efficiency of the production of Omega 3 fatty acids from micro algae utilizing Solarvest's proprietary organic process. The Omega 3 supplement market has grown rapidly over the last ten years with the total market forecasted to grow to $15 billion by 2015, including human and animal health applications. The great majority of this demand has been supplied by fish oil, which many believe is ultimately unsustainable. Solarvest's algae products are sustainable, will be grown in a clean and contained environment, and are appropriate for vegetarian, vegan and organic diets. The organic market demand is currently not being met as fish and krill sources of Omega 3 are not certified organic. Solarvest plans to satisfy this need for premium organic Omega 3 with its Nanuk brand products, which will provide the organic food processor the opportunity to enhance their product.

The new operating division address is 3867 Greenfield Rd., Montague, PE. C0A 1R0, Canada.
