Solarvest's Nanuq(TM) Organic Omega-3 Receives FDA Approval

(TSX VENTURE:SVS) ("Solarvest") has achieved another important milestone in the commercialization of our unique 'Nanuq™' brand Omega-3 products. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a notification allowing the sale of Solarvest's Organic Omega3 product(s).

The Nanuq™ Omega3 dietary ingredient is first product of its type allowed in the USA - a whole food nutraceutical.

Omega-3's are most consumed supplement in the world

The global Omega-3 market, approximately $11 billion in 2011, is growing dramatically and is expected to finish 2015 at $15 billion with $7 billion in sales in the USA. Research has shown that consumption of EPA and DHA Omega-3 fatty acids may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease, and may have numerous other health benefits.

Allowed Claim for Nanuq™ Products

The Nanuq™ brand Omega-3's are the first whole food nutraceutical and the first organic Omega-3 high in DHA. Solarvest products will be available in fruit, vegetable and natural flavors in adult and children concentrations.
