SolarWinds Empowers IT Service Provider Agilisys With One Product Suite for Multiple Points of Perspective

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - May 24, 2010) -  UK IT services and outsourcing provider Agilisys designs, builds and operates an integrated end-to-end suite of IT and business process services for a wide range of public and private sector clients including local government, health care and education.

When the complexity and size of networks, as well as the number and range of clients, began to increase, Agilisys recognized a critical need for greater network visibility.

After evaluating the market's enterprise network and systems management options, Agilisys replaced IpSwitch's WhatsUp Gold, SNMPc and Empirix and selected SolarWinds® (NYSE: SWI) and its Orion® family of network management solutions to gain 24/7 visibility into its clients' networks with one centralized view. For the past six years, Agilisys has relied on Orion to deliver performance visibility to its expanding base of customers.

Today, Agilisys uses SolarWinds solutions to manage up to 1,500 servers, over 3,000 network devices and a number of applications as part of its client infrastructure portfolio.

By deploying a number of individual Orion Network Performance Monitor (NPM), Orion Application Performance Monitor (APM) and Orion Network Configuration Manager (NCM) installations into each of its clients' environments and then rolling up each module into one Orion Enterprise Operations Console (EOC), Agilisys is able pull the information back to its SolarWinds EOC platform and get one centralized, single view of all its clients' networks.

In addition to the greater depth of features, the move to SolarWinds has saved Agilisys $59,000 annually in maintenance cost.

A customer since 2003, SolarWinds Orion continues to scale with Agilisys' growth and evolving needs.
