Solegear Announces Grant of Stock Options


VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - April 9, 2015) - Solegear Bioplastic Technologies Inc. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:SGB), announces that it has granted stock options to purchase an aggregate of 104,918 of its common shares to Paul Antoniadis, one of its directors, and to Scenario Creation Ltd., a consulting firm controlled by Mr. Antoniadis, which firm provides consulting services to the Company.

Mr. Antoniadis is a former Chief Executive Officer of Best Buy Europe, a joint venture between U.S.-based Best Buy and FTSE 100 The Carphone Warehouse. Prior to his Chief Executive Officer role, Mr. Antoniadis held several senior executive roles at Best Buy including President of China, Senior Vice President of International Operations, and Vice President of U.S. Sales. He has extensive consumer technology and multi-channel retail achievements across North America, Asia and Europe. Mr. Antoniadis is assisting the Company with its operations and supply chain management.

The options granted are exercisable for ten years from April 2, 2015 at an exercise price of CDN$0.25 and are subject to the terms and conditions of the Company's stock option plan, a stock option agreement on the Company's standard form, and the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange. A total of 90,346 shares vested on the date of grant and the balance will vest in equal monthly instalments over the ensuing 15 months.
