Solex Resources Corp. Provides Update on Macusani Uranium Project, South-Eastern Peru

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 13, 2005) - Solex Resources Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SOX) ("Solex" or the "Company") is pleased to provide a progress report on its Macusani uranium project exploration program in Southern Peru, with venture management partner, Frontier Pacific Mining Corporation (TSX VENTURE:FRP) ("Frontier"), (collectively the "Venture"). Frontier has now completed the first year's work program commitments (US$400,000) as required by the Option Agreement dated April 19, 2005, whereby Frontier can earn a 50% interest in the Macusani uranium project by spending US$4,000,000 in exploration expenditures over a five year period.

Further to Solex's News Release dated September 29, 2005, detailed radiometric and AlphaTrack radon surveys are being initiated to determine the extent of the mineralization on the three targets: Tuturumani, Sayana, and Triumfador 1 - Calvario II. As reported, highly significant values of Uranium were obtained from pits and trenches on the three prospects. These are in addition to the Calvario and Agaton targets identified earlier in the first phase. Extensive radiometric anomalies coincident with mineralized outcrops with significant uranium values were delineated on the Calvario and Agaton targets. Similar extensive radiometric and radon anomalies with dominant trends are expected from the new 600 line km radiometric survey now underway on an additional 5 targets. This work is expected to be complete within 4 weeks. A detailed drill program will be planned for resource estimation on completion of these surveys. Reconnaissance radiometric surveys and the sampling program will be continued to evaluate the Venture's large 40,000 hectare holdings.

Solex is an exploration development stage company engaged in the acquisition and exploration of mineral properties, focusing on southern Peru. Solex has four main properties: Pilunani (lead-zinc-silver); Macusani (uranium); Cullquimayo (copper-silver-uranium) and Princesa (silver).
