SolidFire Announces Plans to Relocate Corporate Headquarters to Accommodate Rapid Growth

Thriving in Boulder's Innovative Tech Community, SolidFire Continues to Grow, Expand and Hire

BOULDER, CO--(Marketwired - August 11, 2015) - SolidFire, the leader in all-flash storage systems built for the Next Generation Data Center, today announced plans to relocate its corporate headquarters in the Fall of 2016 to PearlWest, a new development at 1048 Pearl Street in Boulder, Colo. SolidFire plans to lease 62,000 square feet to sustain its rapid growth and eventually accommodate over 400 Colorado-based employees. SolidFire currently employs over 400 people worldwide, with approximately 250 employees based in its Boulder headquarters and an additional 150 employees located in SolidFire's regional offices around the world.

"2014 was Colorado tech's best year ever with over $320M in funding raised by 53 companies in Boulder alone, solidifying Boulder's place among the country's up-and-coming tech centers," commented SolidFire's Founder and CEO Dave Wright. "Very few places have Boulder's unique mix of a high-tech talent pool, a highly collaborative, entrepreneurial ecosystem, and an unbeatable lifestyle -- complete with 300 miles of serene hiking trails and 45,000 acres of unspoiled open space. With an estimated 46 percent employee growth rate by the end of 2015 alone, SolidFire is looking forward to having all our Colorado-based employees under one roof with enough breathing room to continue expanding our team and meeting the ever-increasing worldwide demand for SolidFire's all-flash scale-out storage platform."

PearlWest is a 4-story commercial office and retail building featuring a rooftop restaurant and public plazas both on the rooftop and at the pedestrian connector on Pearl Street. There is space dedicated for an art film theatre, over 127,000 square feet of commercial office space, 30,000 square feet of retail space, breathtaking views of the Boulder Flatirons, and a high tech automated robotic parking system that is the first in the state and the entire western region. Construction began in May 2014 and is scheduled for completion in April 2016.

"We are thrilled to welcome SolidFire as one of the anchor tenants of PearlWest as they move their corporate headquarters into our LEED platinum project," said Lynda Gibbons of Gibbons-White Inc., one of the developers of the site along with The Nichols Partnership. "With soaring views of the Flatirons and located in the heart of Boulder on the Pearl Street Mall, PearlWest is now nearing 85% leased."

With regional headquarters in London, Singapore and South Korea, SolidFire expanded its presence in Asia-Pacific in 2015 with new offices in Tokyo, Japan and Sydney, Australia. SolidFire's CEO and Founder Dave Wright recently won the 2015 EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award in the Technology category in the Mountain Desert Region, the 2015 Stratus Award for Cloud Executive of the Year and was listed as one of "The Top 25 Disrupters of 2015" by Computer Reseller News.
