Solis Women's Health Names Reese B. Walter Jr. as Chief Development Officer

ADDISON, TX--(Marketwired - Jul 10, 2013) - Solis Women's Health, the nation's largest independent provider of screening and diagnostics for breast cancer, is pleased to announce the appointment of Reese B. Walter, Jr. to the position of Chief Development Officer (CDO).

Mr. Walter will focus on driving growth through the development of breast center partnerships with hospital systems. This joint venture model provides hospital partners with superior breast imaging services, brings more new patients to the hospital campus, and creates a value add benefit for existing users of the hospital's services. Solis Women's Health has pioneered this innovative "focused strategy" approach, in which an exceptional annual mammography experience for a female family member can translate into the use of hospital facilities for treatment should she be diagnosed with breast cancer. In addition, her positive experience can lead to the use of hospital facilities and services by other family members. Solis' hospital partnership growth initiative is part of an ongoing, multiyear expansion effort in the U.S.

"Reese has a strong track record of successfully driving growth through the development of mutually beneficially relationships with strategic partners," said Solis Chairman Matthew Witte. "We look forward to the addition of his proven development skills as we seek to build relationships with hospitals and offer Solis' patient-centric approach to breast health and screening within hospital campus environments."

Prior to joining Solis Women's Health, Mr. Walter served as vice president of development for Healogics, Inc., where he was responsible for negotiating multiyear agreements with hospitals to establish wound care centers. Mr. Walter was one of three founding employees and board member of Diversified Clinical Services (DCS), which was eventually acquired by Healogics, Inc. While under the DCS shingle, Mr. Walter developed and implemented the sales strategy for DCS and was its sole development employee for the company's first five years. In 2007 DCS established the Reese Walter Sales Excellence Award in his honor to be given annually to the individual most responsible for the company's growth. Over the past 17 years, agreements negotiated and established by Mr. Walter in his various professional capacities have contributed an EBITDA greater than $160 million. Earlier in his career, Mr. Walter served as vice president of sales for Zymed Medical, Inc., overseeing the sales department and growing Zymed to the largest provider of non-evasive cardiac monitoring within the USA. Prior to Zymed, he was one of three founding members of Northwest Oxygen, Inc., which, under his tenure, grew to become one of the largest U.S. suppliers of anesthesia, respiratory and neonatal supplies and equipment.

Mr. Walter holds a BS in Zoology from North Carolina State University with graduate studies in Statistics and Genetics. Mr. Walter lives in Raleigh, NC with his wife Brenda.

"Reese has a proven ability to grow businesses in various phases of their development through strong relationship agreements," said Solis CEO, James Polfreman. "His excellent, existing relationships with hospitals combined with his unique ability to develop partnerships through a common vision for growth is a tremendous asset for Solis Women's Health as we continue our U.S. expansion initiatives."

With evidence that annual mammograms are effective in detecting breast cancer in its earliest stages, Solis Women's Health was established to provide the highest standard of care and services in a positive atmosphere. The company was founded on the premise that by focusing exclusively on the detection of breast cancer, employing only experienced fellowship-trained breast physicians and utilizing state-of-the-art digital equipment, it can produce significantly better outcomes.
