Solium Capital Inc. Makes Changes to Senior Management Team

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - March 7, 2007) - Solium Capital Inc. (TSX:SUM) ("Solium" or the "Company") today announced the following changes to its senior management team.

Effective immediately, Russ Waterhouse will assume the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of Solium Capital Ltd., the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary in the United States. Mr. Waterhouse, who is based in New Jersey, has agreed to join Solium on a full time basis to lead Solium's operations in the U.S. Mr. Waterhouse has been providing consulting services on a part time basis to Solium in connection with its market strategy and operations in the U.S. and has been a key contributor to Solium's growth in the U.S. thus far. Mr. Waterhouse is currently the Executive Chairman of Solium's Board of Directors. As a result of the appointment, Mr. Waterhouse has stepped down as the Executive Chairman and Mike Broadfoot has been appointed Chairman. Mr. Waterhouse will continue to serve on the Board of Directors as a director.

Marcos Lopez, Solium Capital Ltd.'s current President, will assume the role of Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Business Development of Solium. Under Mr. Lopez's leadership, Solium Capital Ltd. implemented a successful go to market strategy which has increased the profile of the Solium brand in the U.S., establishing a value proposition for prospective clients and creating demand for the Company's products and services. In addition, he spearheaded the functional enhancement of Shareworks™ to administer U.S. based stock plans. Mr. Lopez's transition to the new role in the Company is a reflection of his valued contributions to developing overall corporate strategy for the Company.

Russ Waterhouse has extensive experience in the international financial services industry with more than 12 years of experience as a senior corporate officer. From 2002 to 2003, he served as President of Computershare Ltd. North America, and from 2000 to 2003, as President and Chief Executive Officer of Computershare Trust Company of Canada. Previously, Mr. Waterhouse spent 10 years with Mellon Financial Corporation in various senior level roles including Group Vice President of ChaseMellon Shareholder Services, Chief Operating Officer of The R-M Trust Company of Canada, Chief Financial Officer of Mellon Investor Services and Chief Financial Officer of The R-M Trust Company of Canada.
