Soltoro to Upgrade Highway Zone Mineralization Into Resource Category at the El Rayo Primary Silver Deposit

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 19, 2010) - Soltoro Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SOL) has received the results of diamond drill hole R10-DDH49, completing the recent drill program on its El Rayo primary silver project. The hole was drilled beneath the Highway Zone which is believed to be the southern extension of the Las Bolas deposit zone. Earlier this year, reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Highway Zone defined mineralization over a strike length of 500 metres to a vertical depth of 200 metres extending over a maximum width at surface of over 100 metres. The diamond drill hole will permit Soltoro to upgrade the prior target deposit calculation into a resource category.

Diamond drill hole R10-DDH49 was drilled as a twin to a previous RC hole in order to confirm the grades and geological style of the mineralization as interpreted from the RC cuttings. The geology and the overall mineralised interval were very similar, especially when a single high-grade assay in R10-RC79 is cut to 400 g/t silver. Results from diamond drill hole R10-DDH49 and prior results for R10-RC79 were returned as follows:

Drill Structure From: To: Interval: Silver:
Hole:       (metres) (g/t)
R10-DDH49 Highway Zone 65.5 110 57.0 44.5
  Including   65.5 95.5 30.0 67
  Including   65.5 77.5 12.0 110
R10-RC79* Highway Zone 63.0 108.0 45.0 53
  Including*   63.0 94.5 31.5 67
  Including*   63.0 72.0 9.0 152
R10-RC79 Highway Zone 63.0 108.0 45.0 72
  Including   63.0 94.5 31.5 95
  Including   63.0 72.0 9.0 248
* cut to 400 g/t Ag

In addition to the similarity in the grade and overall length of the mineralization, both the core and the RC cuttings demonstrated that the mineralization was hosted within a body of highly brecciated, silicified and quartz veined rock within a matrix of silica and hematite, having almost no discernable sulphide minerals. Both the breccia and the accompanying quartz veins are of a style characteristic of epithermal mineralization, which has been totally oxidised to depth of over 200 metres, and is comparable in all respects to the mineralization in the adjacent Las Bolas deposit.

With the completion of the diamond core hole and the very comparable results to the earlier adjacent RC hole, the previous target deposit calculation can now be reviewed for up-grading to a mineral resource estimate. Soltoro intends to complete a revised estimate in the near future for its El Rayo primary silver project and include all recent drilling completed at the Las Bolas deposit zone as well as the Highway Zone.

The NI 43-101 resource report completed by Hrayr Agnerian, M.Sc. (Applied) P.Geo. and John Reddick, M.Sc., P. Geo. which was released in May of 2010 detailed the following target deposit calculation for the Highway Zone:

Target Deposit Potential – Highway Zone – May 2010
Mineralized Cut-off grade Range of Potential ounces of
Zone silver g/t potential tonnes silver inventory
Highway Zone 40 2 to 2.3 Million 5.3 to 5.7 Million

The potential quantity and grade of the material at the Highway Zone should be considered as conceptual in nature, as there has been insufficient exploration to define a mineral resource and that it is uncertain if further exploration will result in the target being delineated as a mineral resource and it is uncertain if further exploration will result in discovery of a mineral resource. The target deposit calculation is based on a total of 16 reverse circulation drill holes.

Mr Terence J. Bottrill, P.Eng., a consultant, member of the advisory board of the Company and a qualified person as defined by NI 43-101 has reviewed and approved the contents of this press release.
