Solutions Plastik Inc. Receives Financial Support from Government of Canada

MAGOG, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Oct. 24, 2013) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today announced that the firm Solutions Plastik Inc. has been granted financial assistance for the acquisition of state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment.

"Our Government is keeping to its commitment by staying focused on the economy. This is clear in the constant support it is giving to companies like Solutions Plastik that are looking to improve their productivity and competitiveness," said Minister Lebel.

Established in 2002, Solutions Plastik specializes in the design and production of injection moulded plastic parts, primarily for tier one automotive equipment manufacturers. The firm also supplies manufacturers in other industries, including in the furniture and consumer goods sectors.

The financial assistance from Canada Economic Development will enable Solutions Plastik to, among other things, acquire manufacturing equipment and tools for its machine shop and proceed with the automation of two presses. This will allow the enterprise to become more competitive and generate additional sales, which, according to company management, could lead to the creation of 23 jobs.

This support, granted in the form of a $400,000 repayable financial contribution, has been awarded through Canada Economic Development's Quebec Economic Development Program.
