LARGO, FL--(Marketwire - September 20, 2007) - Sonitor Technologies, Inc. today announced that the Company is the main sponsor of, and is scheduled to present at the 6th Annual RFID, Barcoding, and Emerging Technologies for Hospitals and Health Systems Conference, organized by the International Quality and Performance Center (IQPC), on September 24-26, 2007, in Philadelphia, PA.

Terry Aasen, President and CEO of Sonitor Technologies, will give a presentation on September 25th at 2PM, titled, "Using Ultrasound Technology to Track Assets and Patients for Optimal Accuracy." The presentation will discuss the benefits of ultrasound technology versus other real-time location technologies, and highlight the importance of reliable room-level location accuracy in the hospital and healthcare industries.

Representatives from Seton Medical Center, a 500 bed hospital in Austin, TX that has implemented the Sonitor ultrasound IPS technology throughout their hospital, will share their experiences with the audience in separate sessions at this same conference.

The Sonitor indoor positioning system (IPS) is an accurate, yet simple tracking solution that addresses the real-time location of equipment and people in complex indoor environments, such as hospitals and other medical facilities. Its patented ultrasound technology ensures that the detectors interpret a Tag's signals with 100% room-level accuracy and without risk of interference from any environmental noise or other signals nor interfere with sensitive instruments, which is particularly important in a hospital or medical facility setting. The system is based on a unique and patented use of ultrasound for communications in air that identifies the position of any object or person in real-time. The Sonitor IPS is designed for safety, and all emitted sound pressure levels are within the international regulations for the safe use of ultrasound.

RFID and other real-time location systems strategically improve hospital workflow processes and patient safety, and achieve a greater return on investment. The conference will feature live case studies and presentations of these respective technologies by experts in the field, and provide information on the effectiveness and efficiency of patient, staff, medication, and equipment tracking.
