Sonoa Systems Launches Apigee for API Analytics, Protection and Control

Freemium, Self-Service API Management Service Provides Immediate Visibility and Control Over APIs, Mashups and Mobile Apps

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwire - August 25, 2009) - Sonoa Systems, Inc., an innovative provider of industrial-strength API management and cloud governance solutions for leading enterprises, SaaS and media companies, today announced the preview launch of Apigee, a Web site that provides analytics, protection and control for APIs and mashups. Apigee enables API providers to understand usage, protect their application and enforce API terms of use, while developers using APIs can use Apigee to get visibility into the actual service levels of the APIs they consume.

Apigee enables anybody working with Web APIs to understand API usage, protect their applications against traffic spikes that can slow down service and improve the customer experience by making sure APIs are delivering as expected. Apigee's basic service is free and available today for up to 10,000 API calls per hour, with a premium service at higher traffic levels at less than $100 per month to be introduced this Fall.

Apigee is the first self-service, on-demand API analytics and management product that provides API providers and developers the visibility and control to fully leverage the growing API economy.
