Sonomax Announces Appointment of Chief Operating Officer

Transition From R&D Company to Commercialization Now in Full Swing

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - March 21, 2007) - Sonomax Hearing Healthcare Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SHH:) announces that it has engaged Mr. Dennis Jewitt as its Chief Operating Officer effective immediately. Mr. Jewitt is a seasoned operations expert with more than 25 years of experience, with particular expertise in creating the management tools for, and the successful execution of, corporate business plans. Mr. Jewitt's results- based approach to management was most recently utilized by SnowBear®, an international manufacturer with 400 employees and annual sales of $70 million. Another mandate of note was his management and leadership of Gentra Canada Inc. where he transformed the "under water" portfolio of Royal Trustco to where it was trading at a three-quarter billion dollar market capitalization at the time of his departure. Diane Francis of The Financial Post credited Mr. Jewitt with being the driving force behind the initiative, and characterized it as being a noteworthy Canadian success story. Mr. Jewitt holds a B. Comm. and is a Chartered Accountant.

Said Sonomax Chairman and CEO, Barry Schwartz, "The addition of Mr. Jewitt comes on the heels of our most recent announcement about transitioning from an entrepreneurial R&D company to a professionally managed one. With our deals in North America and around the world in the hearing protection, hearing protector testing, and hearing aid businesses now all signed and up-and-running, execution is now Sonomax's number one priority."

"I am truly looking forward to bringing my skill set to this very dynamic company" said Dennis Jewitt. "It is quite rare that one has the chance to change an entire industry, as is the potential for Sonomax's proprietary technologies." Mr. Jewitt added that he is coming in at the best possible time now that the company has its main agreements in place and is well funded and poised for growth.

Mr. Schwartz went on to say that this management addition will free up Nick Laperle, Sonomax's President, to be fully committed to the expansion of existing business verticals, and to develop new ones in such silos as hearing aids, wireless applications, and music and entertainment, as well as to continue his role in investor and public relations.
