Sony and Delivery Agent Partner to Bring TV Commerce to Android and iOS Devices

Delivery Agent's ShopTV Technology Now Integrated Within Sony's TV SideView Application

SAN FRANCISCO, CA and BERLIN, GERMANY--(Marketwired - Sep 3, 2014) - Delivery Agent, Inc., the market leader in turning viewers into customers for more than 350 of the world's leading global brands, today announced that Sony Corporation is integrating Delivery Agent's ShopTV™ television commerce (t-commerce) application into Sony's TV SideView. The agreement gives viewers the opportunity to shop for products seen in and related to TV programming directly from the TV SideView application, available globally on more than 4 million iOS and Android devices. The capability will be launched and showcased at IFA Berlin, the Consumer Electronics Fair, September 5-10.

Sony's TV SideView application uses second screen connectivity to provide a dynamic graphical interface through which consumers can interact with their TV, view listings and manage/operate embedded applications on the big screen. The agreement between the two companies extends TV SideView functionality by enabling users to shop for products related to the programming they're viewing.

Powering this shopping experience is Delivery Agent's propriety contextual database which maps products to a network, show, episode, character, scene or ad and then surfaces those products for sale.
