Sony Ericsson Offers Fans Chance to Win Ideal Day Out

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - Oct. 21, 2010) - Leading smartphone producer Sony Ericsson is offering its fans a once in a lifetime chance to win their ideal day out with 10 friends worth up to £10,000.

Fans can map out their ideal day at and then enter for their chance to win the real thing. The steps to create the ideal day are simple; the day is split into morning, afternoon and evening, and within each part of the day the fan is able to choose how much they want to splash out on meals, with the option to bring their own for free.

The exciting part comes when the fan is required to choose which activities they would like to take part in over the course of the day. There are activities to suit all tastes and preferences; fans who like to relax might choose to chill, have a luxury spa day or stay at a 5 star hotel, whereas the thrill seeking fans might choose the tandem skydiving, white water rafting or helicopter flight.

The only restriction is that the day cannot be worth more than £10,000. Each choice is given a value and it is up to the individual to decide upon their preferred activities and meals that remain within the budget.

After each choice is made the fan is reminded how much they have left to spend. Some of the activities are free, for example choosing to bring your own meals and arrange your own transport, or simply chill. However Sony Ericsson has included many unique activities that are difficult to resist, meaning that users need to take care not to get carried away with their selections.

Ben Padley, Head of Digital and CRM at Sony Ericsson, commented: "Sony Ericsson have designed the Ideal Day Out to really suit every taste but to be spectacular no matter what; we've got the Ferrari vs. Lamborghini for the boys and the shopping spree for the girls, just to name a few. Once fans have chosen their ideal day they can then share their plans with the friends that they might choose to bring along on Facebook. It is truly a unique competition for our fans."

Sony Ericsson is a leading pioneer of touchscreen smartphone technology, such as its keyboard Android phone the Xperia™ X10 mini pro. As well as utilising the leading Android platform, the handset boasts a 5 megapixel camera, and a handy four-corner user interface which owner can use to house their four favourite apps, such as email, text, or social networking apps such as Twitter or Facebook.
