Sony Ericsson President Joins Violin Memory Board of Directors

Bert Nordberg Enhances Strategic Vision and Guidance of Silicon Storage Appliance Leader

Nordberg is a key addition to the board as Violin expands its global presence as a leading solution for the adoption of virtualization and cloud computing in the world's most advanced data centers.

On Oct. 15, Nordberg will assume the role of President of Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications. Before becoming President, he was Executive Vice President of the Ericsson Group and Head of Ericsson Silicon Valley. Nordberg originally joined Ericsson in Sweden in 1996 as the head of Enterprise Services and advanced through the company's executive leadership structure to serve as EVP of Group Function Sales and Marketing of Telefonaktiebolaget, EVP of Ericsson Services, EVP of Division Global Services, Head of Business Unit Global Services, Head of Business Unit Systems and SVP of Group Function Sales and Marketing.
