Sony Music Canada Content Added to Stingray Digital's Galaxie Music Videos on Demand Service

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Nov. 9, 2010) - Stingray Digital, a Montreal-based provider of music services to multi-channel operators, announced today an agreement with Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc. to add the label's music video content to the Galaxie Music Videos on Demand service. The Galaxie Music Videos on Demand (MVOD) service is available for free to all Rogers Digital Cable customers and will soon be available with other television service providers.

"The Galaxie Music Videos On Demand service is one of the most popular VOD services on Rogers On Demand. We find that people prefer to watch their choice of music videos on their preferred viewing screen, their television sets," stated Eric Boyko, president of Stingray Digital. "This well-appreciated service will be even more popular with music lovers now that we are adding the videos from the fantastic library of Sony Music Canada which includes artists such as Beyonce, Shakira and AC\DC," he added.

"We are pleased to be working with Stingray Digital to satisfy the needs of music lovers who want to watch their favourite artists' videos on TV, when they want, as often as they want. The Galaxie Music Videos on Demand service is an ideal way for us to expose our artists to an even wider audience," said Shane Carter, President of Sony Music Entertainment Canada.

This service from Stingray Digital, the first of its kind in Canada, allows viewers to select their choice of music videos, or select and watch professionally-programmed music video playlists. There are hundreds of popular videos of all genres ready to be watched at the viewer's convenience. In the US, the equivalent music videos on demand service is the number one VOD service by monthly views across all categories.

With The KARAOKE Channel on VOD in more than 60 million homes in North America and in Europe, Concert TV in more than 30 million US homes, and now Galaxie Music Videos on Demand being rolled out across Canada, Stingray Digital is quickly establishing themselves as one of the major suppliers of video on demand content worldwide.
