Sony Pictures Digital Selects Maven Networks to Promote "Stealth" to Broadband Consumers

Technology to Deliver Trailers, Games, Extras Direct to Moviegoers' PCs

CAMBRIDGE, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- July 25, 2005 -- Maven Networks, Inc., a software provider that enables brand marketers and media companies to deliver the most compelling broadband video experiences, today announced a deal with Sony Pictures Digital to deliver high-quality video content for Sony's latest action thriller, "Stealth," coming to theaters on July 29.

Columbia Pictures' "Stealth," which stars Josh Lucas, Jessica Biel, and Jamie Foxx, is an epic action thriller about a squadron of elite pilots who embark on a mission of global consequence to neutralize an out-of-control prototype drone fighter plane equipped with artificial intelligence and the ability to precipitate a nuclear war.

Sony Pictures Digital's video content will include a series of trailers, games, and exclusive behind-the-scenes video content directly to consumers who opt-in at the film's Web site. With Maven's technology, Sony can reach consumers directly online and build a powerful, ongoing, and measurable relationship with movie fans.

Entertainment companies are now able to offer full-screen, highest-quality video content to promote their films. With more than 58% of U.S. online households(1) now accessing the Internet via broadband connections, former barriers to receiving high-quality, full-screen videos -- such as download time and illegal sharing -- now can be surmounted technologically. Movie studios are among the first to embrace broadband video to showcase their products.

At the "Stealth" Web site (http://www.FearTheSky.com), consumers can view full-screen, high-quality trailers, games, and video shorts. Fans can share clips with their friends, purchase tickets in advance, view an interactive photo gallery, play games, and view consumer-generated content. Those who sign up for the Maven-powered experience will automatically receive additional trailers and other video content about "Stealth," thereby contributing to strong ongoing interest in the movie.

"Movie studios are shifting their marketing focus to where consumers are spending more time -- online -- to decide which movies they want to see," said Hilmi Ozguc, CEO, Maven Networks. "Sony Pictures Digital continues to lead the industry in online movie promotion by leveraging Maven's technology to deliver an unmatched broadband experience to engage movie fans and drive ticket purchases."
