SOSCharger™ Project Surpasses 330% of Kickstarter Goal to Drive Development of Innovative Emergency Mobile Device Charging Technology

Breakthrough Personal-Generation and Battery Charging Products to Debut Later This Year

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwired - Apr 15, 2013) - SOSReady™, a developer of innovative mobile device charging technology, today announced it has received pledges totaling more than 330% of its funding goal for its SOSCharger project through the crowd-sourcing funding platform Kickstarter. Since its launch last month the SOSCharger project has raised more than $100,000, providing the resources to continue new product development of its electronic emergency preparedness products. It plans to have first products available in the second half of 2013.

"We are elated with the overwhelming support the SOSCharger has received in just 30 days," said Brian Legge, co-founder of SOSReady. "With more than 2,500 backers so far, we built a solid foundation for the product launch that validates our overall market strategy and road-map. The convenience and utility for emergency applications of the SOSCharger are resonating with Kickstarter members who see the need for this type of product."

There are 10 days remaining until the end of the offer. The project can be viewed at: http://kck.st/15F9T88

The SOSCharger is a versatile, user-friendly device that addresses a variety of charging needs. It includes a powerful 1,500mAh internal battery that can be pre-charged using any USB-powered source device. Once charged, the internal battery can act as a power-booster for any mobile phone or device, including all of Apple's popular iPhone models. If the internal battery is depleted, and external power is not available, users can simply wind the handle to generate more power. The small size easily fits in a pocket and the ergonomic shape makes it easy to grip while winding the generator.

First demonstrated at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), SOSCharger for Smartphones has won accolades as one of the most innovative mobile-phone personal generator and battery-recharging devices available. It has received positive responses from various media outlets, including Mashable, iMore, CNet, AOL, Gizmag, Geekwire and Chris Pirillo's popular YouTube channel, Lockergnome.
