The Concert Series is designed to show appreciation to America's veterans, increase community awareness of VA programs and services, encourage citizens to volunteer at their local VA and increase awareness of the issues facing injured veterans and their families. It's also a unique way to provide outreach information to America's veterans regarding the many programs and services offered by VA. The Salute is celebrated during the week of Valentine's Day, and this year's Concerts will be held in Atlanta, Baltimore, Battle Creek, Birmingham, Chicago, Cleveland (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame), Detroit, Durham, Miami, Montgomery, Muskogee, Poplar Bluff, Prescott, Reno, Shreveport, San Diego and St. Louis.

The Salute is celebrated during the week of Valentine's Day and admission to a Concert is always free and open to the public, as concert organizers believe "the price has already been paid by our veterans' sacrifices."
