SoundBite Names Matt Edmunds as Vice President of Collections and Financial Services

Edmunds to Leverage Extensive Industry Experience to Define and Implement Best Practices for Clients' Use of SoundBite's OnDemand Customer Communications Platform

BURLINGTON, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 1, 2005 -- SoundBite Communications, the leading provider of OnDemand Customer Communications™ solutions, today announced that it has hired Matt Edmunds as its vice president of collections and financial services. In his role, Edmunds will focus on business development, operations and marketing for SoundBite in these industries. Specifically, he will leverage his operational leadership experience in financial services and third-party collections to define, measure, analyze and implement best practices to help each client achieve maximum success using SoundBite's hosted interactive voice messaging platform. In addition, Edmunds will work in conjunction with SoundBite's sales and marketing teams to develop new business opportunities while also working to enhance existing customer relationships.

Edmunds brings 10 years of hands-on industry and operational experience to his role. Previously, Edmunds was senior vice president of bankcard operations for Outsourcing Solutions, Inc. (OSI), one of the largest providers of business process outsourcing (BPO) receivables management in the United States. There, he owned all facility, personnel, strategy and operations decisions for four call center sites with 600 full-time employees and served as the key client contact, responsible for building strong relationships and ensuring that client expectations were met and exceeded. Prior to joining OSI, Edmunds spent almost nine years at Capital One Financial Corporation. He was the group manager and leader of the company's Recoveries Agency Management team for over five of those years. While at Capital One, he oversaw the development of one of the largest supplier networks in the industry while also spearheading the application of leading-edge analytics and strategies for the Recoveries business. Edmunds' financial services background also includes experience leading large call center teams and a site startup within Capital One's Fraud Operations division.
