In other news, the Company is pleased to announce that Dr. David Dreisinger has been appointed Vice President, Metallurgy for SASC. In addition, he currently holds the position of Professor and Chairholder of the Industrial Research Chair in Hydrometallurgy at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Dreisinger, with co-workers, has been actively involved in developing and commercializing hydrometallurgical technology such as the Mt. Gordon and Sepon copper processes in Australia and Laos. David is a director of PolyMet Mining Corp. and International Nickel Ventures Corporation.

In welcoming both Mr. Johnson and Dr. Dreisinger to the Company, Ralph Fitch, SASC President and CEO, noted that "both Greg and David join our company at a very timely and important stage of Malku Khota's development. Our initial exploration program has been very successful with 88 drill holes completed for a total 30,000 metres, a large resource reported last October and the recently completed very positive preliminary economic assessment report. We are beginning the transition to the pre-development phase of the project and Greg and David bring the valuable experience and knowledge that both have gained through project development, community relations and extractive metallurgy that will be most important as Malku Khota advances. On behalf of our board and our shareholders I want to welcome Greg and David and I look forward to working with them as we move Malku Khota forward."

SASC is a mineral exploration company that acquires, explores and develops mineral properties, primarily silver, gold and copper in South America. The Company presently holds interests in two material properties: the flagship Malku Khota silver-indium-gold property in Bolivia and the Escalones copper-gold-molybdenum property in Chile.
