South Coast Communities LLC Adds Real-Estate Veterans in Homebuilding Push

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 22, 2014) - With the homebuilding industry on the upswing and four new-home neighborhoods in various stages of development, South Coast Communities LLC has added three executives with wide and deep experience to its staff to ramp up its residential construction efforts, announced Brent Little, founding member and partner.

Taylor Grant is executive vice president of real estate, managing land acquisition and real estate services in the company's homebuilding submarkets; David Hutchins is vice president of development with responsibilities for new-home construction and forward planning of residential communities; and Bentley Kerr is project partner in charge of land acquisition and project management services for entitlements.

Prior to joining South Coast, Kerr spent more than a decade as an investment partner and project manager at Bluestone Communities. While there, he specialized in entitling large residential master plans, helping to manage and entitle developments with a total land value in excess of $200 million. In 2013, Kerr completed the entitlement of Arantine Hills, a 275-acre specific plan featuring more than 1,600 units and 750,000 square feet of commercial uses in Corona, Calif.

A member of South Coast's Advisory Board of Directors for several years, Hutchins has significant experience working for public builders Pulte Homes and Centex Homes, where he successfully managed multiple projects with complicated entitlement and construction issues. His duties include project management, entitlement strategy, project scheduling, consultant management and agency coordination.

Taylor Grant has an extensive real estate background, having served as principal or senior executive for the development of more than 5,000 residential units encompassing for-sale and rental developments in attached and detached formats. A specialist in the development of high-density infill properties throughout Southern California, Grant held similar positions at Beazer Homes, Intracorp Companies and Western National Group. Most recently, he was tasked by numerous national banks to resolve distressed homebuilder assets, including 1,700 residential lots and more than 350 homes.

South Coast Communities LLC is a focused real estate firm specializing in new home construction, consulting and land development.
