South River Technologies Releases GroupDrive Version 4

New Release Facilitates Integration With Corporate Networks

ANNAPOLIS, MD -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 2, 2006 -- South River Technologies announced that it has released GroupDrive version 4.0. GroupDrive is a complete solution that enables remote file access and document collaboration. The new version includes support for LDAP, enabling enterprise customers to use existing user authentication and directory mapping through GroupDrive's unique mapped drive interface or intuitive web interface. The capability gives companies the ability to access files on their internal networks without implementing expensive and complex VPNs.

Version 4.0 also includes enhanced Active Directory support and the ability for administrators to create system content. GroupDrive offers a personal workspace for each user. The System Content feature enables the administrator to define content anywhere on their network and push that content into each user's personal workspace. Users see the shared content as subfolders.

"Larger enterprise customers and several major universities have had significant input into this release," says Michael Ryan, CEO and Co-Founder of South River Technologies. "Version 4 has been workforce tested in a wide variety of real-world environments with various configurations and high volumes of users and transactions."

GroupDrive's virtual drive technology is also available in a client application called WebDrive.
