Spacekraft Introduces the Next Generation of Coworking Spaces in Burnaby

Spacekraft brings 10,000 sq. ft. of new coworking office space in the growing Burnaby business district for local entrepreneurs, freelancers, consultants, and professionals

BURNABY, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Sept. 15, 2015) - In response to self-employment on the rise and an accelerating demand for coworking spaces in the Greater Vancouver District, a new hybrid coworking and incubator space has officially launched in the bustling Burnaby business district. Spacekraft isn't your typical shared work environment. It is a new concept in coworking that has developed a community model that supports individuals in building their businesses through peer support and structured benefits that are typically only found in traditional companies.

Spacekraft encourages a new way of doing business where the new "company" consists of a group of individuals pooling their collective skills and talents, towards a common purpose or goal. As the next generation of coworking, Spacekraft provides not only a community of peer support, mentorship and funding, but additionally access to group health insurance programs, wellness programs, car shares and many more benefits that provide security to those choosing to build their own future through self-employment.

"I wanted to launch Spacekraft with the goal of excluding the corporate structures that have us enduring work and a create a space that embraces the hustle of starting your own business and makes our jobs a source of excitement in our lives," says Spacekraft Founder, Darryl Bosa. "With the evolution of coworking spaces and more individuals looking to move further away from the rigidity of the corporate world, we are providing a space for accountants, writers, programmers and everyone in between to build their own business and collaborate with their peers."

Spacekraft features include:

  • 10,000 sq. ft. of coworking space with 74 desks, 13 private offices, and meeting rooms
  • Vibrant social spaces and a members only lounge
  • Ping pong table
  • Chalk board doors and white board walls
  • Bright, engaging artwork throughout
  • Educational workshops and peer to peer mentoring
  • Benefit packages, including health insurance, life insurance and wellness packages
  • Free car share

To celebrate the launch of this new space, Spacekraft will be hosting a Creating Genius workshop series, as a part of Start Up Week Vancouver, on Tuesday, September 22nd.
