TORONTO, ONTARIO and SEOUL, KOREA--(Marketwire - June 22, 2012) - Spackman Equities Group Inc. ("SEGI") (TSX VENTURE:SQG) announced today that ALL ABOUT MY WIFE, a romantic comedy produced by its Korean movie production subsidiary, Zip Cinema Co., Ltd. ("Zip"), will be playing in select theatres across North America. The Korean hit movie, which has become one of Korea's highest-grossing romantic comedies of all time, opens today in Toronto, Vancouver, Los Angeles, New Jersey, and Chicago.

In addition, ALL ABOUT MY WIFE, after being shown at the Cannes Film Festival marketplace last month, was selected as the International Premiere at the upcoming New York Asian Film Festival and will play on July 5, 2012 at New York's Lincoln Center. The movie is also invited to the Hawaii International Film Festival in October of this year, an event that attracts over 80,000 people annually.

According to Zip, "This move into North America was made possible due to the movie's storyline which transcends geographical and cultural barriers, and is a film that people overseas can also relate."

Through favourable critical and word-of-mouth reviews and its star-studded cast, ALL ABOUT MY WIFE has sold 4,006,788 tickets at the Korean box office since its opening on May 17, 2012, grossing more than KRW 29.92 billion (CAD 26.5 million) according to official data provided by the Korea Box Office Information System as of June 22, 2012. The commercial success of the film can be easily highlighted when its box office performance is compared to its total budget of KRW 4.9 billion (CAD 4.3 million).

ALL ABOUT MY WIFE is a romantic comedy directed by Min Gyoo-dong and features top Korean stars, Im Soo-jeong, Lee Seon-gyoon, and Ryoo Seung-yong. The film is about a husband that marries a seemingly perfect wife, but quickly discovers her overbearing nature is too much for him to handle. To justify asking for a divorce, he asks a skilled womanizer to seduce his wife, but the scheme does not turn out as expected.
