SPARC IDIQ "Resource Center" and Free Jump-Start Readiness Kit Launched for Government Contractors

Experts at NeoSystems Urge SPARC Awardees to Get Prepared Before Task Orders Are Handed Down

TYSONS CORNER, VA--(Marketwired - October 13, 2016) - NeoSystems Corp, a Platinum Deltek Partner and a leading provider of managed services (Accounting, HR, Contract Management, IT), Hosting, and Strategic Systems Integration Consulting Services, announces the launch of its SPARC IDIQ online "Resource Center" and hands-on jump-start events to get awardees prepared to execute on contracts.

Awarded by the Health and Human Services (HHS) Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in April 2016, the Strategic Partner Acquisition Readiness Contract (SPARC), and the Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity, (IDIQ) is a $25 billion performance-based contract. Although task orders have not yet been issued due to protests currently under review by the Government Accountability Office (GAO), the slight delay is giving SPARC awardees a rare opportunity to get key contract compliance elements in place and business systems synched for seamless contract execution.

As part of a larger effort to enable government contractors of all sizes with the necessary tools, updates, best practices, news and trends to deliver on large contracts, NeoSystems is launching a dedicated "Resource Center" and Readiness Kit.

For large, prime contractors, the SPARC award and delay might be 'business as usual' but for many of the small, minority and Women Owned Business (M&WBE) and HubZone contractors, this award presents a unique opportunity to take their business to the next level.

"Being able to deliver on a contract of this size and potential with HHS means that SPARC Awardees need to be fully operational with GovCon-compliant systems and processes," states Michael Tinsley, CEO of NeoSystems Corp. "Ironically, fast and explosive growth is a real problem that contractors face because there are so many compliance and regulatory requirements. With a single delivery order, a company of 30 employees could triple or quadruple overnight. Most companies aren't ready for this type of growth."

For 13 years NeoSystems has helped government contractors set up business operations in preparation for contracts of this magnitude. "Awards like this will require some of these companies to look at new or more scalable systems to take their business to that next level. A lot of things that work with 25 employees, such as semi-manual processes or spreadsheets built around an accounting system that is not designed for projects, don't work with 125 employees. NeoSystems Resource Center and Readiness Breakfasts will provide valuable tools to ensure that contractors understand what they need to have in place prior to task order award," Tinsley added.

Along with the Readiness Kit and Resource Center launch, NeoSystems will also offer three complimentary educational Readiness Breakfasts open to all government contractors who are either current IDIQ awardees or seek inclusion in future awards. All breakfast events will be held at the NeoSystems corporate offices in Tysons Corner, VA. Registration can be found below.
