(www.handcastmedia.com), developer of interactive graphic applications for the iPhone, has joined Apple's iOS4 revolution by releasing an update to its Spark Radio application, along with a free version, Spark Radio Lite. Recently ranked on the iTunes "What's Hot" list, the application is the premier streaming radio tuner for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The updated Spark Radio app is compatible with iOS4 and provides access to more than 24,000 terrestrial and Internet-only stations worldwide, an increase of more than 14,000 stations from the previous release. With the update, Spark Radio can now stream audio in the background while users check email, send text messages, browse the web, or run other iPhone or iPad applications.
The full version of Spark Radio, which is ranked among iTunes' Top 100 Paid iPhone Music Apps, is now available for purchase in the iTunes App Store for $1.99, for a limited time. Also available is Spark Radio Lite, which offers access to 300-plus music stations from around the world for people who want to try the app before they buy it.

In future releases, the Spark Radio app will allow users to import their own graphics or photos to customize the visualizers, chat with other users who share their taste in radio programming, and use an alarm clock and sleep timer.
