RICHMOND, VA--(Marketwire - January 6, 2010) - SPi, a leading provider of business process
outsourcing solutions for the healthcare and publishing markets announced
today that it has been chosen as the Philippines' vendor of choice in the
recent study called "Emerging Market Suppliers: A Valuable Lever for Risk
Diversification." The study was conducted by the Everest Group, a global
consulting and research firm specializing in analysis on outsourcing and
offshoring.
The new report showcases service providers with roots in six emerging
markets including Brazil, Central and Eastern Europe, Israel, Mexico, South
Africa, and the Philippines, and it was conducted to address buyers' needs
for more outsourcing and offshoring options around the world. SPi is proud
to have been identified as the vendor of choice for the Philippine market.
As part of the analysis of the six emerging markets chosen, the report
provides an assessment of the distinctive capabilities and situations where
the service providers selected offer a strong value proposition for buyers.
"These suppliers represent an important breed of suppliers that buyers must
evaluate while sourcing from these markets," Everest stated. They also
noted that the service providers highlighted in the study demonstrate
operating scale, domestic/regional expertise, delivery maturity, a Blue
Chip client base, and a global footprint -- key characteristics that
differentiate these companies from others in their markets.
This is the second time this year that SPi has been recognized as a leader
in the emerging markets category. In March 2009, SPi ranked second in the
Leaders, Emerging Asian Market category of the Global Services 100 survey
conducted by neoIT and Global Services.
Commenting on the occasion, Maulik Parekh, President and CEO, SPi Global
Solutions, stated, "Having been chosen as one of the emerging market
suppliers in a study conducted by a global research and consulting firm is
a big honor for us. Recognitions like this one are a testament to our
enduring commitment to be the service provider of choice in the markets in
which we operate. Through continuous improvement, strong customer service
as well as ongoing investments in our infrastructure, technology and
people, I am convinced that we will continue to be identified as an
innovative leader in the global BPO market."
