Spiceworks Named a Top Five Best Workplace in Technology

Company Ranks Fourth Among Medium-Sized Technology Brands According to Fortune Magazine and Great Place to Work(R)

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwired - Jan 26, 2016) - Spiceworks, the professional network for IT, today announced it has been named a 2016 Best Workplace in Technology, according to Fortune Magazine and global research and consulting firm Great Place to Work. Spiceworks placed fourth on the list, a ranking based on employees' own assessments of their work environment, workplace culture and camaraderie, career development, and company leadership.

Fortune Magazine's 'Best Workplace in Technology' award follows similar recognition by Glassdoor who honored Spiceworks with a 2015 Employees' Choice Award. Additionally, the Austin Business Journal and Austin American-Statesman have named Spiceworks a Best Place to Work and Top Workplace the last five and six years respectively.

"We started Spiceworks with one common mission -- simplify how IT professionals get their jobs done and have a great time doing it," said Jay Hallberg, co-founder and CEO of Spiceworks. "A decade later, our company culture is stronger than ever, fueled by employees who are passionate in furthering that mission by taking risks and developing creative solutions to tackle the world's toughest IT challenges. We're thrilled to be receiving this recognition as a company, but it truly is the employees who come to work each day with new ideas and an unrivaled level of passion that make our workplace what it is."

Spiceworks was selected based on evaluations of randomly selected employees across multiple companies in the technology sector. Employees anonymously answered questions about how frequently they experience the behaviors that create a great workplace. Companies achieving the highest overall results in their size categories were ranked based on this data.

Survey results achieved a 95 percent confidence level and a margin of error of five percent or less. The total score for each company was determined entirely by employee feedback.
