Spiceworks Named a Top Ten Best Place to Work in 2015 by Glassdoor

Award Recognizes Spiceworks for Outstanding Workplace Satisfaction, Company Culture and More

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwired - Dec 10, 2014) - Spiceworks, the professional network for IT, today announced it has been honored as one of the top ten best places to work in Glassdoor's seventh annual Employees' Choice Awards. Awards are based on the input of employees including feedback on day-to-day tasks, work environment, culture, and overall company satisfaction. The Glassdoor award follows recent recognition by the Austin American Statesman who named Spiceworks a Top Workplace of Greater Austin for the fifth year in a row.

"Our culture is brought to life each day by employees who showcase creativity, ownership and passion in everything they do," said Scott Abel, co-founder and CEO of Spiceworks. "As we rapidly grow, our employees have taken it upon themselves to maintain a company culture that gets translated into our brand and spices up the IT industry day in and day out. I couldn't be more proud of the company we've built together."

The Glassdoor survey includes both quantitative and qualitative questions designed to capture an authentic, inside look at what it's like to work at particular companies. The survey asks employees to rate their satisfaction with the company overall as well as with key workplace factors like career opportunities, compensation, benefits, work/life balance, senior management, and culture and values.

"I am proud to celebrate the Glassdoor Employees' Choice Award winners in earning this tremendous achievement," said Glassdoor co-founder and CEO Robert Hohman. "Millions of employees around the world are turning to Glassdoor each month to share their work experiences. It is this type of authentic feedback that helps others find jobs and companies they love, and allows us to honor employers who stand out for their efforts in providing an enjoyable work environment and culture."

The complete list of the Glassdoor Best Places to Work in 2015 in the SMB category can be found here.

Methodology
The Best Places to Work are determined using company reviews shared by U.S. based employees who elected to participate in the survey between November 13, 2013 and November 2, 2014. To be considered for the SMB category, a company must have less than 1,000 employees and have received at least 20 company reviews from U.S.-based employees during the window of eligibility. The final list is compiled based on Glassdoor's proprietary algorithm, and takes into account quantity, quality and consistency of reviews.
