Spigit Announces Idea Management Solution for SharePoint 2010

PLEASANTON, CA--(Marketwire - March 1, 2011) - Spigit, the leader in purpose-built innovation management software, today announced that it is launching an idea management solution designed and built on SharePoint 2010. Spigit customers will now have the ability to easily capture, evaluate, select, and implement their crowdsourced ideas right from the familiar SharePoint 2010 user interface.

From CrowdSourcing through Implementation

SpigitEngage for SharePoint will offer integration with Microsoft Project Server 2010®. This means Spigit customers can capture and select ideas sourced from their idea communities using collaboration tools in SharePoint 2010 and then plan, budget, and assign resources to implement those ideas with Project Server 2010.

In addition to providing advanced idea management capabilities, SpigitEngage for SharePoint 2010 incorporates a simple, intuitive interface that allows users to create their own customizable innovation dashboard. With the ability to easily move Spigit web parts throughout the SharePoint 2010 portal, SpigitEngage for SharePoint can be set up for enterprise-wide access within SharePoint 2010, or as a single instance embedded in specific team sites. The tool's flexibility allows for easy configuration and can be deployed on-premise or as a service through its Software as a Service offering.

As a means of encouraging user engagement and participation, the solution offers incentives and rewards to increase user participation levels and achieve a higher quality of ideas and feedback. Furthermore, SpigitEngage for SharePoint incorporates an intelligent ranking system that drives the best ideas to the top using a combination of patent-pending algorithms. These features, along with the rest of Spigit's idea management capabilities, allow companies to engage in an innovation process that is scalable and results-oriented, and built on native SharePoint.
