SPiN Continues U.S. Growth by Launching Newest Location in Chicago

Ping-Pong Club Slates Its Fifth Location for Early 2015

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - November 18, 2014) - SPiN, the international ping-pong social club, is continuing its growth plan with the announcement of the opening of a new location in Chicago, IL in early 2015. Currently boasting locations in New York, Los Angeles, Toronto and Dubai, SPiN has now set its sights on Chicago's River North district. The provocateur of ping-pong culture is co-owned by Academy Award-winning actress Susan Sarandon and opened its original New York location in 2009.

The club's latest location will be spread across 16,000 square feet within Chicago's iconic River North neighborhood, featuring a design by award-winning architect, David Rockwell and Rockwell Group. "Chicago was the logical next step for our brand, given the city's history of passionate sportsmanship and vibrant nightlife -- not to mention a long list of celebrity friends and supporters who make their home there. This latest opening has been in the works for a long time, and we are thrilled to have finally secured the perfect location to bring SPiN Chicago to life," says Pieter Vanermen, CEO of SPiN.

SPiN prides itself on providing consumers with an alternative to the status quo and an outlet for those who prefer to share experiences with others. From a culture that bred surfing and skateboarding, ping-pong offers the element of accessibility to players of all ages, gender or skill to have the opportunity to participate, capturing the juxtaposition of sport and the atmosphere of a night on the town.
