SCOTTSDALE, AZ--(Marketwired - May 21, 2014) - Spindle, Inc., (OTCQB: SPDL), a leading provider of mobile commerce solutions, announced it has entered a partnership with Slim CD, a provider of payment processing software and gateway services, to integrate Spindle processing into Slim CD's suite of products and launch a new web-based portal targeted to third-party developers, independent software vendors, ISVs, integrators and merchants. This technology enables providers to incorporate secure, easily configured payment acceptance and processing capabilities into their applications and solutions. Accessible through both the Spindle and the Slim CD web sites, the portal will enable developers and ISVs to add online, mobile, and brick-and-mortar payment functionalities into their offerings in a fast and straightforward manner, reducing both time to market and development costs.
The Developer Integration Portal consolidates the application programming interface (API) and software developers' kit (SDK) implementations into a single integration, allowing acceptance of both card-present and card-not-present transactions through simple, language-neutral function calls. It provides a robust integration toolkit for developers that support dozens of programming languages through a cut-and-paste sample code library. All of Slim CD's products for web, mobile and PC can be launched by developers, facilitating payment transactions without requiring PA-DSS validation or touching cardholder data.
"The Developer Integration Portal streamlines the entire process for developers, ISVs and merchants who want to incorporate secure payment acceptance functionalities into their software solutions," said Bill Clark, chief executive officer at Spindle. "By coupling the benefits of Spindle's payment aggregation platform with the simplicity of Slim CD's tools, we can create a whole new range of advanced capabilities that optimize mobile commerce. When providers can include payment acceptance into their solutions through this seamless integration process, they can better serve their customers by delivering a more robust, comprehensive application that will be even more relevant to their customers."
Based in Coral Springs FL, Slim CD provides their credit card software and gateway services for merchant services providers, financial institutions, and merchants looking to accept card-based payments over both data and mobile infrastructures. As part of its relationship with Spindle, Slim CD has integrated the portal with Spindle's payment aggregation platform to leverage the quick boarding capabilities and competitive flat-rate processing rates that Spindle offers to businesses. Slim CD's Developers' Toolkits allows direct connectivity to Slim CD's gateway or the Slim CD applications, which can be launched as part of developer payment acceptance strategies.
"Spindle's fast merchant setup and easy-to-understand pricing is now available through Slim CD's complete suite of products and developer toolkits for PCs, mobile and web-based offerings", said Sami Slim, president and chief executive officer of Slim CD. "While traditional merchant accounts continue to offer value, an increasing number of merchants opt for the blended rates and financial services provided by Spindle. This partnership gives merchants and developers all of the powerful Slim CD tools, combined with the power of Spindle's aggregation platform which features easy setup and competitive pricing"
