Spinnable Shoots 360 Degrees and Live Stream of the Nobel Peace Prize Concert for YouTube

Music Fans Get a Front Row Seat to See Top Music Acts

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - March 03, 2016) - Spinnable, a 360º social sharing platform, recently shot the 360º and live streamed the 22nd Annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo, Norway and today, released the 360º videos of the event on YouTube. The show highlighted Spinnable's continued capabilities of capturing and distributing high-quality, immersive, cross-platform content to the masses.

Produced by Warner Bros. and Gyro, this is the first time ever that the concert was live streamed on YouTube, giving music fans around the world a front-row seat to the event in real-time. Each year, the Nobel Peace Prize Concert showcases top acts across various genres of music, which pay tribute to the year's Laureates. A few of this year's performers that were streamed live and shot in 360º include: Jason Derulo, Ellie Goulding, a-ha, DJ Kygo, and more.

"Spinnable has been live streaming events in 360º for several years," says Spinnable CEO, Mark Demarest. "The immersive video format allows viewers to see not only what's on stage, directly in front of them, but also what's going on all around them."

One of the highlights from the event -- hosted by well-known, late night personality Jay Leno -- was Norwegian native DJ Kygo's performance of his hit song, "Stole the Show," featuring singer Parson James. From the pyrotechnics around Kygo, to James walking out on stage into the audience, viewers can turn or spin the video to catch all the action.

Attendees were also treated to an inspirational speech, and performance of "Want to Want Me," by Jason Derulo. For those that missed the live stream, five of the acts can now be viewed on the Nobel Peace Prize Concert channel on YouTube. (https://www.youtube.com/user/NobelPeaceConcert/search?query=360)

Spinnable plans to live stream many more events to desktop, and the nearly 2 Billion smartphone users worldwide through the dedicated Spinnable app. With Spinnable's mobile app, users can also share their own 360º pictures and video with friends and family. The app's social sharing aspects also allow you to post, find, follow, like, comment and share your "spins."

Because the app is hardware agnostic, users can create and post content from any 360º camera, or simply by using pano mode from their native smartphone camera. Once in the app, the phone can be moved, or users can swipe the content with their finger to pan around and see the whole scene. The content can also be consumed in any of the numerous VR viewers such as Google Cardboard to really make you feel like you're there at the event.

Spinnable is currently available on iOS (https://appsto.re/us/Ezvu_.i), and will soon also be available on Android, AppleTV, and Samsung GearVR. The company is also in development with other 3rd-party head-mounted-device (HMD) manufacturers who see Spinnable as the killer app for virtual reality headsets.
