Spire Communications Expands Creative Services Team

Agency Names New Art Director and Strengthens Design Team Capabilities That Include Interactive Applications and Illustrations

ALEXANDRIA, VA--(Marketwire - Mar 8, 2013) - Spire Communications, an integrated public relations and strategic communications agency, today announced the expansion of its already formidable creative team. Under the leadership of the recently promoted art director, Shannon Leigh, Spire has added two new creative talents to the agency's existing group to now also include expert-level Photoshop work, illustrations and interactive application interface design.

"When our clients work with Spire, they trust we can help guide their strategic communications efforts, and as importantly, we can also deliver high quality graphic design that helps make them shine," said Ivy Eckerman, Spire Communications' president. "Whether illustrating the possible future of aircraft design for DARPA, creating an interface for a Veterans Affairs mobile application, or creating a PowerPoint slide highlighting the value of sharing electronic health records, our creative team helps our clients stand out."

Leading Spire's creative team is Shannon Leigh, the agency's new art director. Leigh is an award-winning designer who has created and managed brand identities, collateral, advertising, Word and PowerPoint templates, event signage, HTML emails, user interfaces and Web sites for a diverse client base.

"Our clients look to us for creative and innovative ways to connect with their audiences," said Shannon Leigh. "By expanding our creative capabilities, we can offer our clients a solid menu of design options to meet whatever communications challenge they have. When one of our clients recently said, 'I almost fell out of my chair when I saw the new design,' I knew we'd made good hires."

Joining Leigh on the design team are Christina Sneed and Brian Zuckerman, two new Spire additions. Both come with significant experience in graphic design, marketing and visual arts. Sneed, a talented designer, brings with her experience ranging from contracting for IT providers to working on in-house design teams. Spire's new senior graphic designer, Zuckerman, is an expert in print and web design, photography, video and specializes in extremely intricate Photoshop design.

The expansion of the creative team follows several years of growth in Spire's diverse roster of clients in the government, technology, healthcare and defense sectors. Spire Communications' creative team has worked on a wide variety of projects for both large and small clients including the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT within the Department of Health and Human Services, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, iDirect Government Technologies, Alion Science and Technology and Agilex.
