SplitmediaLabs Announces the Release of XSplit Broadcaster 1.1

HONG KONG--(Marketwire - Aug 31, 2012) - SplitmediaLabs has announced the immediate release of XSplit Broadcaster 1.1. This latest update to the company's popular live streaming and publishing application provides users with many improvements and compatibility fixes in addition to a few, but very interesting, new features for licensed users.

The new features include:

Local area network streaming - Gives users on a corporate or local area network the option to publish a video stream without the requirement to set up a video server or use an external video service.

Direct capture of Skype video calls - Provides a simple option for users to directly capture Skype video calls and interviews in their XSplit produced live broadcasts.

Live Gamer C985 H.264 video encoder integration - Provides users of the new AVerMedia Live Gamer HD capture card with an option to use the integrated H.264 hardware encoder directly with XSplit to offload CPU for encoding.

The local area streaming will be made available only to Premium licensed XSplit users, while the Skype video capture and Live Gamer Encoder integration will be available to both Personal and Premium licensed users.

"This release introduces a couple of new features and also a lot of improvements, which includes enhanced audio capture with support for 7.1 surround sound, strongly optimized flash rendering and some impressive improvements to game capture, including support for 64 bit games. We have clearly focused more on fixing and improving existing functionality and less on adding new features, but we have done a lot of groundwork, so our users can expect even more exciting new features in our upcoming releases, expected later this year and early next year," says CEO Henrik Levring.

The streaming personality and eSports commentator, Marcus 'djWheat' Graham, will be presenting a live demo of XSplit 1.1 and some of the features expected to be released in upcoming updates of XSplit Broadcaster.

Follow the event live on www.twitch.tv/team/pax on Friday August 31st at 4pm PDT.
