SportsClick Inc. Announces New Board of Directors' Appointment

HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA --(Marketwire - Oct. 20, 2008) - SPORTSCLICK INC., (TSX VENTURE:SCV) ("SportsClick" or the "Company") listed on the TSX Venture Exchange Inc. under the trading symbol "SCV" is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Alfred A. Smithers as director of the Company.

Alfred A. Smithers, "Fred", is the founder, and former President and CEO of the Secunda Group of Companies. For six consecutive years, Secunda was named one of the "50 Best Managed Companies in Canada" by Deloitte & Touche.

Secunda Marine Services was sold to J. Ray McDermott, Ltd., which acquired the majority of Secunda assets. The company continues to operate under the business name of Secunda Marine Services, and remains a dominant vessel operator in the Canadian Offshore Sector, with vessels working throughout the world.

Through Iona Resources Limited, Mr. Smithers played a key role in the development of the Panuke Cohasset Oil Field, the first offshore oil production project in Canada. In 2005 he was recognized for this by being the recipient of the "2005 Pioneer Award" through the Offshore Technologies Association of Nova Scotia.

Inducted as an Officer of the Order of Canada in December 2003, Mr. Smithers is a member of the Nova Scotia Business Hall of Fame, and was named the 2000 Atlantic Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year recipient for "Entrepreneurial Excellence". In 2003 Mr. Smithers was named one of the "Top 50 CEOs of Atlantic Canada. In 2004 Mr. Smithers was a recipient of the "Canadian Red Cross Humanitarian Award". In 2005 Mr. Smithers received an Honorary Diploma from the Nova Scotia Community College.

Mr. Smithers is the Honorary British Consul for the Maritime Provinces. President and owner of Granite Springs Golf and Country Club. He is a director of ProGear, a golf club manufacturing company; director for the Halifax International Airport Authority; a director of Barrington Wind Energy, and a director of The Dartmouth General Hospital. Mr Smithers is a member of the Saint John Ambulance Society, World Wildlife Fund of Canada; and is on the Board of Governors for Saint Mary's University.
