SpotMixer and Google TV Ads Sponsor "TV for All" Contest on YouTube

Businesses Can Use SpotMixer's Industry-Leading Video Creation Solution to Make Their Own TV Ad and Put It Up Against Others to Win $25,000 in Free National TV Advertising

REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwire - September 1, 2009) - SpotMixer (www.spotmixer.com) and Google TV Ads (www.google.com/tvads) have collaborated to offer small- and medium-sized businesses a chance at $25,000 worth of free national TV advertising as they kick off their "TV for All" video contest (www.youtube.com/tvforallcontest) on YouTube. Officially launching today, the contest gives participants an opportunity to try out SpotMixer's do-it-yourself video ad solution and compete for one of three $25,000 prizes.

Open to any business with 300 or fewer employees, the "TV for All" contest democratizes TV advertising by inviting companies to create their own TV ad at no cost using SpotMixer's innovative video ad creation platform. Contestants will then post their commercials on YouTube to be shortlisted by a blue-ribbon panel of judges and for a final vote for the top three winners by the YouTube community.

The contest works like this: Businesses first go to the "TV for All" contest YouTube brand channel (www.youtube.com/tvforallcontest), where they will find step-by-step instructions for creating a video ad with SpotMixer. Once happy with their ad, the company can submit it via the contest site, where it will be reviewed by a panel of judges made up of top entrepreneurs, including Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos.com, creative agency professionals, and television luminaries. The judges will select the 10 finalists by mid October. Those videos will appear in a finalists' section of the contest, where the YouTube community will cast its votes for its favorites. The top three videos will each receive $25,000 in free national television advertising through Google TV Ads. The contest submission deadline is October 5, and winners will be announced on October 30.

"The idea behind our 'TV for All' contest is that TV advertising can be easy and affordable for any business," said Kathleen Farley, SpotMixer's Vice President of Product Marketing. "With SpotMixer and Google TV Ads, even a small business can advertise like a big brand. Businesses of all types will be amazed at just how easy it is to create a professional ad. With an opportunity to win $25,000 in TV advertising through Google TV Ads, we expect a lot of businesses curious about DIY TV advertising to give it a try."

Full guidelines, contest rules and even tips and tricks are available on the contest site (www.youtube.com/tvforallcontest).
