St Andrew Reports On Eskay Creek Activities

OAKVILLE, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Aug. 30, 2005) - St Andrew Goldfields Ltd. (TSX:SAS)("St Andrew") wishes to provide an update on the activities at its Eskay Creek Properties in northern British Columbia.

Summer 2005 Drill Program

St Andrew has commenced a drill program to test the previously announced exploration targets that were developed by Geoinformatics Explorations Inc. ("Geoinformatics") (TSX VENTURE:GXL)

Based on the geophysical interpretation and modeling of the results of the helicopter-borne Time - Domain Airborne Electromagnetic Magnetic (AeroTEMII) survey undertaken by Aeroquest Limited during the Fall 2004 in conjunction with the updated 3D databases and 3D models, Geoinformatics identified 10 new exploration targets that are shown on the attached map of the Eskay Creek properties. The Bonsai Target discussed below is now added to the list of exploration targets.

The Aeroquest survey was undertaken to directly detect massive sulphide mineralization such as that hosting the gold /silver mineralization at the Eskay Creek Mine.

In addition to the 10 exploration targets above, follow up of the Hexagon mineralization discovered in 2003 remains an exploration priority.

A total of over 2,500 metres of drilling is planned. St Andrew has budgeted $900,000 for this Summer 2005 Exploration Program.

Amended Agreement with Teuton Resources for the Bonsai - Mack Property

Heritage Explorations Ltd. (now 100% owned by St Andrew) entered into a JV Agreement ("Agreement") with Teuton Resources Corporation ("Teuton") (TSX VENTURE:TEU) in March 2002 for the exploration of the Bonsai-Mack Property. In March 2005 the Agreement was allowed to lapse by Heritage.

Negotiations between Teuton, St Andrew and Heritage have resulted in the re-instatement of the Agreement with certain amendments to the terms of the Agreement. The terms of the amended Agreement require a minimum expenditure of $300,000to be incurred in 2005 (same as original Agreement), a cash payment of $35,000, a commitment to drill 6 holes with a minimum of 455 metres of drilling and before March 31, 2009 to incur exploration expenditures aggregating $2,400,000 and pay a total of $215,000 in cash option payments to earn a 50% interest in the Bonsai-Mack Property. To date approximately $500,000 has been spent on exploration expenditures on the Bonsai-Mack Property and cash option payments of $55,000 have been made to Teuton.
